Volunteering
Can you help?
Volunteers are essential to the smooth functioning and success of Swim England clubs, and every role contributes to making the experience better for everyone involved!
Why Volunteers are the Backbone of UK Swimming Clubs
- Support for Swimmers: Volunteers provide crucial support during training sessions and competitions, ensuring swimmers have the best possible experience. They help create a positive and safe environment for athletes to thrive.
- Community Building: Volunteers help foster a strong, supportive community within the club. Their involvement strengthens relationships between swimmers, parents, coaches, and other volunteers, creating a team spirit.
- Smooth Operations: Volunteers ensure that everything runs smoothly at events, from meets to training sessions. They handle the logistics, manage time, and ensure all swimmers are properly supported and prepared.
- Role Models & Mentors: Volunteers often serve as role models and mentors, offering guidance and encouragement to young swimmers, while sharing their knowledge and passion for the sport.
- Ensuring Club Growth: Without volunteers, many clubs would struggle to offer the range of opportunities available to swimmers. Volunteers help maintain the club’s infrastructure and ensure its ongoing success.
